    Ron Reid, Partner at Shoosmiths has very kindly shared the Shoosmiths Summer briefing with us, in which he looks in more detail at some of the cases that have been heard recently.
    
    In particular he looks at the cases of the care home manager and fire alarm engineer in Manchester whose failings were identified following the death of an elderly resident in a sheltered scheme. Ron also looks at the results of a case from the Supreme Court in relation to noise induced hearing loss.
